William Lu
Managing Member
William Lu has practiced in the field of U.S. federal income taxation for over 20 years. Before leaving to pursue his PhD in tax policy, William was a tax partner at Latham & Watkin’s New York office for 10 years, where his clients included investment banks, Fortune 500 companies, private equity and other investment funds, and government entities. William provides tax advice on cross-border transactions, company formations, derivatives and other financial instruments, mergers and acquisitions, insolvencies, bank financings, securities offerings, FATCA compliance, and structured finance transactions. In addition to practicing law, William is passionate about helping those in need through his work with nonprofits. He was previously the Controller for National Asian Pacific Center for Aging, and is currently the President and co-founder of the nonprofit, Center for Asian Pacific Islander Equity (www.capie.org), a newly formed research and education focused nonprofit with a mission of helping underserved members of the Asian and Pacific Islander communities. William is licensed to practice law in New York and Washington State.
